🆔 Zanthoxylum This tree of the genus Zanthoxylum attracts attention for the stingers on its trunk. At this point, the difference between thorns and stingers must be explained. The difference is that the stingers can be separated from the stems easily, without tearing plant tissues, while in the spines it runs through the vascular system so that when separated from the plant, the tissues are torn. This tree is popularly known as “lizard” because of its stingers that resemble the scales of a crocodile.
