🆔Campephilus guatemalensis A red head stands out in the dense green of the leaves. The pale-billed woodpecker sits high up on the trunk while making rattling sounds. It has predominantly black plumage and white stripes on each side of the neck that converge across the shoulders. Only the male has the red head, which makes it easy to identify.
