Margays (Leopardus wiedii) are solitary and nocturnal animals found in the rainforests of Central and South America. These small wild cats are skilled climbers with flexible bodies and sharp claws, enabling them to move quickly and easily through the trees. As for their preference for water, margays typically avoid crossing rivers or streams, preferring to navigate around them using tree bridges or other natural crossings. However, they may drink from water sources located on the forest floor.
