A New Addition to Hoja Nueva ✨ Thanks to our supporters we were able to react swiftly when the authorities seized Mara near Tarapoto in Peru. She is a margay, around 7 weeks old, and yet another victim of the national wildlife pet trade. Hoja Nueva was the first to successfully release a rescued margay in 2021, and we have done so many times since then. We are confident that in our care, Mara will be returned to the wild. Her journey begins now.
