Many wild versions of crops we use are in danger of extinction. Species like vanilla, cotton, potatoes, and advocates are in the risk group, while they are struggling to adapt to the changing climate. The wild species are very important though since they will be used for further breeding and thus better-adapted species, which can be used in food production
